Release of United State of Americana, Vol. 5

The United State of Americana (vol. 5) compilation with Brenda's protest song, JUSTICE, was shipped to radio stations the last week of January. In coming weeks, Shut Eye Records will monitor the number of stations adding it to their playlists and track its position on the Americana chart.

In their January newsletter, Shut Eye Records highlighted Brenda's original contribution to the United State of Americana compilation, calling JUSTICE a "powerful song, reminiscent of the '60's anti-war ballads of Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan."

Brenda's unreleased protest song, JUSTICE, christens the new music downloads page and is timed to coincide with observance of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (see http://www.un.org/events/poverty/2006) and to support change in the upcoming national election.

s a marketplace for peer review and downloading of independent music. In August 2006, STILL IN THIS WORLD entered the contest in the Folk Rock genre. On October 3rd, the song was chosen as Track of the Day. It achieved its best ranking of #42 of 218 in Folk Rock on 22 November 2006. The song also won awards for Potential Soundtrack and Best Female Vocals.
